This course is presented for students of Philosophy of Being, Cognition and Value Studies. It is intended to as introduction to different theories of values and evaluation. These are very diverse and complex most of the time but major questions and main problems remain deeply grounded in philosophical history and they are one of the most difficult ones to answer. What are values? What people mean when they talk about aesthetic, artistic, cultural, moral or other values?
How are the hierarchies of values made and how are they grounded in other (common or more practical) beliefs? What is goodness (freedom, beauty, truth, justice et cetr.) and whether or not we need those in our life?
